The PerioFitnessCheck assesses the level
of aMMP-8 from multiple (up to four)
specific sites. The result is an average of
the 2-4 sites sampled. This is
recommended for use on periodontal           patients before treatment, sampling from 4 pockets of interest, or for use on screening up to four implants at once.
The indication is to identify those patients who should be advised to increase their
oral hygiene care, which may help
reduce the risk of periodontal disease or     peri-implant disease in the future.
